EF Arcade - EVE Frontier Browser Games
The EF Arcade is a small collection of EVE Frontier games that run in your browser, built into EF-Map. There is nothing to install. Flappy Frontier offers local practice and optional ranked play. Foam Drop, Trinary Sling, and Network Node Overload are ranked-only. FrontierGuessr is a daily puzzle, Bounce is an unranked screensaver, and Universalizer is an audio visualizer that makes the star map dance to your music.
The games
Flappy Frontier
A one-button runner: thread a capital ship through a wreck field without clipping the debris. The original, and still the one people bounce off hardest.
Foam Drop
A crane-drop game. Release foam cargo onto a moving target; land it clean and a perfect drop pays a bonus. Timing beats hurry.
Trinary Sling
A one-button orbital-transfer game played around the Trinary, the three black holes at the centre of the EVE Frontier universe. Your periapsis decides everything.
Network Node Overload
The cerebral one: a power-management puzzle rather than a reflex test. Budget a network node's gigajoules across real EVE Frontier structure costs while heat builds against you.
FrontierGuessr
A daily geography game for the star map: you are dropped somewhere in the Frontier and have to work out where you are from what you can see.
Bounce
The classic DVD screensaver, Frontier edition. The EVE Frontier logo drifts and bounces over the launch key art, changing colour on every wall hit. It will hit the corner eventually.
Universalizer
Not a game, no score: an audio visualizer that makes the star map itself dance. Pipe in audio from a browser tab, a screen (system audio), or your microphone and the entire universe ripples to the beat, with gate lines following the stars. Tab and screen capture need a Chromium browser (Chrome or Edge); the microphone works everywhere. No wallet, nothing to install.
How the arcade works
Flappy Frontier practice runs are local and need no wallet. Ranked Flappy, Foam Drop, Trinary Sling, and Network Node Overload runs require wallet sign-in and are free to start. Their weekly courses and leaderboards compare pilots on the same generated challenge and reset Sundays at 00:00 UTC.
FrontierGuessr can be played signed out as a daily map puzzle, then uses sign-in to post a score to its daily server leaderboard. Bounce has no score or wallet flow. There is no entry fee or prize pool for ranked arcade runs.
When you die mid-run, a game may offer a one-off revive for 100 EVE at that moment. It is never prepaid and never a credit pack; the decision timing is the mechanic. A revive resumes the same run with your score and course intact. The network fee for game actions is sponsored by EF-Map, though your wallet still approves each action, because the run tickets, payments and scores belong to you.
Why an arcade on a star map?
Honestly, because it is a good testbed. Frontier Commerce — the payments layer behind wallet identity, sponsored gas, at-the-moment purchases and on-chain leaderboards — needed something real to run against, and small games exercise all of it far harder than a checkout button would. The arcade is where that work gets proven before it goes anywhere more serious, and the same layer sits behind EF-Map's other paid surfaces. It is open source: github.com/Diabolacal/frontier-commerce.
The games are also just fun, which is the other half of the reason.
Getting to the arcade in EF-Map
Open EF-Map, then the Tools Library, and look under the Games category. You can pin any game to the feature rail like any other tool. Each game also has a direct link — /?panel=flappy-frontier, /?panel=foam-drop, /?panel=trinary-sling, /?panel=network-node-overload — that opens it straight away.

Frequently asked questions
Are there any EVE Frontier games I can play in a browser?
Yes. EF Arcade contains Flappy Frontier, Foam Drop, Trinary Sling, Network Node Overload, FrontierGuessr, and Bounce. They run in a modern browser with nothing to install, but each title has its own local, ranked, daily, or unranked format.
Do I need a wallet to play?
Flappy Frontier practice, the FrontierGuessr puzzle, and Bounce can be used signed out. Wallet sign-in is required for ranked Flappy, Foam Drop, Trinary Sling, and Network Node Overload runs, and to post a FrontierGuessr daily score.
Do the arcade games cost anything?
No. There is no entry fee and no prize pool. The only optional payment is a one-off 100 EVE revive offered at the moment you die, which continues the same run instead of restarting it. Restarting from score zero is always free.
How does the weekly leaderboard work?
The ranked arcade titles use shared weekly challenges and keep one best score per pilot, with a reset every Sunday at 00:00 UTC. FrontierGuessr uses a separate daily server leaderboard, and Bounce is unranked.
How do I open the arcade from EF-Map?
Open EF-Map, then the Tools Library, and look under the Games category. You can pin any game to the feature rail. Direct links also work — for example ef-map.com/?panel=trinary-sling opens Trinary Sling straight away.
